Broken

I stand here broken hearted,
numbness replaces feelings departed.

I was fooled by emotions
we both claimed to have.
I understand space
but still miss our "love".

I always said I wouldn't get hung up,
not on a woman, not on you.
Looks like I've failed but still
hanging's the last thing I'll do.

Yes it hurts
but life goes on.
I hope we get back
together as one
but if thats unlikely
I'll try to have fun.

It won't be straight away,
it might even take months.
All I can promise is that
your friendship can be enough.
